Williams recorded the joint-fastest ever Formula 1 pitstop during the European Grand Prix on Sunday, matching the record set by Red Bull back in 2013 at the United States GP.
Williams have been working tirelessly to resolve their pitstop woes over the winter period in an effort to iron out mistakes. Last season they were one of the slowest.
In each race this season they have recorded sub-three second times with ease, but in Baku they managed to break the two-second barrier for the first time with an official time of 1.92 seconds as they changed all four of Felipe Massa’s tyres.
In fact, during the race, of the top five quickest stops, Williams came out on top in three of those, with Valtteri Bottas’ stop just shy of breaking the two second barrier as well.
