Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen has been shortlisted for the FIA’s ‘Action of the Year’ award after his pass on Nico Rosberg in Brazil.
He overtook Rosberg around the outside at Turn 3 in the early stages of the tricky and rain-hit Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, snatching away second place.
The teenager later dropped to as low as 16th place after a poorly-timed switch to intermediate tyres, but bounced back to finish third.
Verstappen is one of nine nominees for the award, including Jean-Eric Vergne in Formula E, Kevin Eriksson in World Rallycross and Andre Lotterer in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The awarded is voted for by fans, with Verstappen winning the award in both 2014 and 2015
