Williams announces driver line-up for winter tests

Williams has become the latest team to confirm its driver schedule for the two pre-season tests at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

An audio clip of the Mercedes-powered car’s engine firing up was released by Williams on Tuesday, ahead of its debut at the first tests next week.

Winter running takes place at the Spanish track from the 22-25 February and the 1-4 March, with eight days for teams to prepare for the first race.

Williams has revealed its driver line-up for both tests. Valtteri Bottas has been given the first run in the car on the Monday and the Tuesday.

His team-mate Felipe Massa will then take over testing on the final two days of next week’s opening test.

Bottas will once again kick off Williams’ on-track running at the second test, driving on days one and two. Massa will conclude the test on Thursday and Friday.
